Our Online Programs

At the Center for Workforce Health, we specialize in state-of-the-art online health improvement programs that cover a wide array of health topics and can serve a variety of purposes. The programs can be used as stand-alone interventions—and have been shown effective in this mode—or as companions to in-person and telephone coaching approaches, and they have been used for both health promotion and disease management. They are all science-based and developed under grants from the National Institutes of Health, and were tested in diverse workplaces as part of the development process. Stress Management
Stress Management

This interactive, multimedia program is designed to help workers recognize the symptoms and sources of stress and provide them with a wide variety of powerful tools for managing stress. 

The Stress Management program can be used alone or purchased as part of the Health Connection suite of programs that also includes Food Smart and Active Lifestyle.

Food Smart
Food Smart

The Food Smart program, an interactive, multimedia program based on the latest approaches to weight management and nutrition, will enable employees to analyze their eating habits, formulate an improved dietary plan, and engage in effective strategies for healthy weight management.

The Food Smart program can be used alone or purchased as part of the Health Connection suite of programs that also includes Active Lifestyle and Stress Management.

Active Lifestyle
Active Lifestyle

The multimedia Active Lifestyle program contains comprehensive information on the benefits of physical activity, and provides realistic strategies for achieving lasting improvements in physical activity, with special strategies for those who are currently inactive. 

The Active Lifestyle program can be used alone or purchased as part of the Health Connection suite of programs that also includes Food Smart and Stress Management.

Stress and Mood Management
Stress and Mood Management

This program contains segments on Stress Management, Managing Depression, Managing Anxiety, and Treatments that Work. It includes all the material in the basic stress management program, along with extensive segments devoted specifically to the problems of depression and anxiety. 

Youth Mental Health: A Parents' Guide
Youth Mental Health: A Parents' Guide

Youth Mental Health is a parents' guide to children's emotional and mental health and contains information, skill building exercises and assessments to provide parents with knowledge and skills to understand child and adolescent depression and anxiety issues. 

Smart RX
Smart RX

A fully narrated multimedia guide to the safe use of psychotherapeutic prescription drugs, Smart Rx focuses on the use of medications most susceptible to misuse, including those prescribed for depression, anxiety, and chronic pain management. The program also contains a segment on healthy alternatives to medications.

Prevention Connection
Prevention Connection

Prevention Connection is an online training program designed specifically for workplace health promotion and wellness professionals. The program demonstrates how to successfully integrate substance abuse prevention into existing, less stigmatized workplace health promotion programs. 

Heart Healthy
Heart Healthy

Heart Healthy is a cardiovascular disease risk reduction program targeting at-risk workers. In addition to material specific to cardiovascular health, the program also contains modules on healthy eating, smoking cessation, stress management and physical fitness—all oriented toward reducing the risks of heart disease and stroke.

Healthy Past 50
Healthy Past 50

Older workers are more vulnerable to chronic disease, most of which can be prevented by adopting improved health practices. HealthyPast50 targets workers over 50 years of age with segments devoted to healthy aging, healthy eating, stress management, increasing physical activity, and tobacco cessation—all oriented toward the needs of older workers.

Going Forward
Going Forward

This program is designed to help individuals in recovery from substance abuse. Going Forward is a relapse prevention program based on a cognitive-behavioral model. The program features multiple interactive skill-building exercises and an on-screen counselor who guides the user through an eight-step program.
